Clean Rivers Cooperative, at the request of Cooperative Board of Directors President, Jeff Hibner, staged the Command & Communications Trailer for the 2023 Dozer Day as a tandem display to the booth sponsored by the Nustar Vancouver Facility. Dozer Day is an annual event, first started in 2008, that seeks to educate people of all ages about building sustainable communities, industry career opportunities, and public safety. Dozer Day gives kids the ultimate “construction experience” by inviting close contact with heavy construction equipment, public safety vehicles, recycling trucks, and other fun, informational activities. The event was held on the weekend of October 7th and 8th at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Ridgefield, WA.

Dozer Day was a great opportunity for the Cooperative to interact with the local community in a positive manner.  Operations Manager, Carl Boelter, Marine Mechanic, Ben Robinson, and Board of Directors President Jeff Hibner represented the Cooperative and were there to educate the public on Clean Rivers  history, our core values, mission, and membership. The Command Post was fully set up demonstrating its mobile communication capabilities. It is estimated that 75-100 visitors of all ages toured the equipment each day.

Clean Rivers has demonstrated and displayed equipment at other community outreach events in the past few years, such as the Port of Portland Seaport Celebration, Earth Day Celebration in Longview, WA, and US Coast Guard Sector Columbia River Open House in Warrenton, OR.
