Operations Training Facility

The Training Center at the Clean Rivers Cooperative, Inc. Operation Facility is available for use by Members and Associates of the Cooperative.  The facility is equipped to host tabletop exercises, trainings and other occasions benefiting our industry partners.

Incident Command System

The Incident Command System or ICS is a systematic tool used for the command, control, and coordination of emergency response. ICS is a flexible, scalable response organization providing a common framework within which people can work together effectively. People are generally pulled multiple agencies that do not routinely work together, and ICS is designed to give standard response and operation procedures to reduce the problems and potential for miscommunication on such incidents.

Membership Training

Clean Rivers Cooperative conducts quarterly membership training each year to enhance the ability of membership to respond to an incident at their facility, or to participate in mutual aid as designated in the membership bylaws.

Topic: HAZWOPER 8-hour Refresher Course

Dates: March 4th & 6th, 2025

Time: 08:00-16:00

Information: 8-hour refresher course offered free to membership to maintain HAZWOPER credentials annually.

Topic: Mutual Aid Deployment Exercise

Information: This training exercise is part of Clean Rivers Cooperative’s Annual Membership Training Program, one of four quarterly trainings aimed at enhancing membership preparedness for response. This training event focuses on developing skills for boat crews at member facilities to respond to an incident and effectively implement response strategies.

Topic: Clean Rivers Cooperative Boom Rodeo

Information: This is an annual event for Clean Rivers Cooperative members and is designed to be a friendly competition consisting of on-water and land-based training events. The goal is to have fun and more importantly, become better prepared to respond by reviewing and practicing the skills that have been presented and practiced during previous drills, training and member events.

Clean Rivers Cooperative Member Training Challenge Coin Incentive

Individual Member personnel who attend Clean Rivers Cooperative Quarterly Member Trainings and or Clean Rivers ICS Practicum or 300 & 400 Classes earning 36 or more hours of training in 2024 qualify to receive a challenge coin.
