On December 13, 2022 Clean Rivers Cooperative conducted its annual meeting. At this meeting Members review the proposed budget for the next fiscal year and vote on its approval. Additionally, the next year’s Board of Directors are elected to a one year term. In addition to the voting on budgets and the Board of Directors, staff presented awards to the winning teams of the 2022 Boom Rodeo. Each team received individual prizes along with an award belt buckle to recognize their efforts. Congratulations again to NuStar Portland for their first place finish! Staff also conducted a presentation of the year in review. This presentation highlighted the approved three year strategic plan for the Cooperative, summaries of outreach, training and response activities in 2022, and targets for 2023. Staff also set up an open house style presentation of response equipment throughout the operations facility that had been recently acquired or received upgrades over the last year. Equipment on display included the new Marco Skimming Vessel, upgrades to the Command and Communications Trailer, and upgrades to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Trailer.
Staff take great efforts in ensuring the highest possible level of readiness and service to our members. We take pride in the program we maintain, grateful for the support of Membership and are happy to have the opportunity to showcase the accomplishments from the last year.
